Quick answers

Are transfers reversible?

Almost never. Once points leave your bank they belong to the airline or hotel program, so confirm award space first, then transfer.

Why does my card show a different ratio?

Some banks vary by card. Citi gives 1:1 to most partners only with Strata Elite, Strata Premier or Prestige. Chase gives Hyatt 1:1 only with Sapphire Reserve cards. Capital One's Venture X Business moves to Emirates at 4:3. We note these on each partner.

What is the "typical value" number?

It's a rough cents-per-point valuation from The Points Guy's monthly list. Real value depends on the award you book.

Where does the data come from?

Ratios come from The Points Guy's transfer partner chart and bonuses from Frequent Miler's transfer bonus tracker, both checked . Links are in the footer.
